# Accessibility statement

What we checked on the accessibility of osticket.dev, with which tools, what an automated check cannot tell you, and how to report a barrier.

What we checked, with which tools, and what an automated check cannot say. This is a self-assessment: there is no third party audit.

## Where we stand

The site targets [WCAG 2.1](https://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG21/) level AA. Automated checks report no issues on the published pages.
Denovo s.r.l. is not among the bodies bound by Italian law 4/2004 and legislative decree 82/2022, which cover public administrations and companies above 500 million in turnover. We publish the statement anyway, because the site has to be usable either way.

## What we checked

On every published page:

- axe-core in Chrome, against the rendered page rather than the source
- the W3C HTML validator, aiming at zero errors
- contrast ratios, measured on the colours the browser actually paints
- keyboard navigation: menu, skip link, form fields
- zoom to 200% without losing text or functionality
- the single animation on the page, which is switched off by prefers-reduced-motion

## What an automated check does not see

Reading order with a screen reader, whether a label makes sense to someone who is not looking at the screen, and the quality of alternative text. On those points a clean check only says there are no mechanical barriers.
The anti-bot check in the form is a third party component: it works from the keyboard, but we have not tested it with a screen reader. If it blocks you, write to us directly at the address below.

## How to report a barrier

Write to info@denovo.srl with the page and what does not work, along with the browser and assistive technology you use. We answer within thirty days.
